“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
Travel is such a balm for the mind, sometimes it’s like pressing the reset button.
Fresh perspective, fresh ideas – a chance to recalibrate – and being in Nigeria for eighteen months STRAIGHT
(Caveat: I know it sounds dickhead-ish, but anyone that lives here can relate), but this time-out was particularly necessary.
I had a great time rediscovering my (old) city, and really just taking a minute to decide what direction I want to go in.
These shots were taken by a great photographer and friend Samuel Waters. He used to cover all our *cough* ‘wild nights’ in Nottingham and London when we still lived there. It was a really fun day, waltzing around Hyde Park. One thing I loved, was how much Samuel pushed me out of my comfort zone – ironically, I hate taking photos and doing it all in PUBLIC? I got all sorts of crazy looks. It was hilarious and a little bit uncomfortable, but super fun in the end!
