Somedays I’m a classic girl, to the point of wanting a monochrome wardrobe (Isoken, just shhh). Other days, I’m a statement kind of girl. Gold, beads, feathers, i’m your girl! I definitely have a soft spot for feathers. So when I saw this Obsidian feather skirt I knew I had to have it! I wore it with a sleeveless collared shirt, a gold statement necklace, gold rings, my handy Sophie Hulme and these gorgeous Casadei heels (sold out. Try these).
Tangent: By now, you’re aware i’m a confessed-not-looking-to-be-reformed shoe addict. So obviously I must quickly talk about these Casadei Blade heels I got from Luisaviaroma over summer. Personally, as far as the classic pump goes, I think the Blade is up there with the greats- the Manolo Blahnik BB, Christian Louboutin Pigalle. It is a beauty! I truly regret not getting the gorgeous pair in blue that Lupita wore. Swoon.
BUT they hurt like a b*tch! I might get a half size up next time (and there will be a next time. Amen). I in no way regret buying them. I’m of the ‘beauty is pain’ school of thought. I blame my sister Arese, she would repeat this as she braided my hair (I hated doing my hair! Kinda still do tbh. Patience is NOT my virtue). Besides, this was the first time I wore them, so it will probably get better. One hopes.
